Positive Impacts on Housing Product, Mortgage Financing and Builder Profitability

The Workshop Presentation consists of two parts:

  • Part One addresses the construction of high performance homes. Using three different versions of energy modelling software, a comparison of the performance of multiple building system types will be performed.
  • Part Two addresses the marketability, sales and financing of high performance homes. A software program called "High Performance Lending" will be used to analyze financial variables associated with purchasing and owning a home. Comparison modeling will then show the Total Cost of Ownership for each type of home.
