Preview tickets are $50 per person and proceeds will benefit Carolina Breast Friends. 

The evening will kick-off at 6:00 pm on Friday April 4th.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Lake Norman Home Builders office located at 836-D Williamson Road, Mooresville NC 28117.

Carolina Breast Friends has a very special place in the hearts of all the members at the Lake Norman Home Builders Association. Carolina Breast Friends was established in November 2003 by our 1st Vice President's (Chris Ebel) late wife Kristy Adams-Ebel.  CBF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to uniting and helping women with breast cancer in all stages of survival. The organization centers around those who want to create a social and educational outlet for women united in a sisterhood of survival and hope. Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32, Kristy recognized that part of her ability to cope with the struggle she faced depended on communing with fellow survivors. She understood the importance of being in a positive setting where the focus was on healing, self exploration, and empowerment through knowledge. Until her death in 2006, Kristy’s determination, selflessness, and humor remained as strong as ever. She was, and is, an inspiration to everyone at Carolina Breast Friends.

How You Can Help

Wear something pink and attend this very special preview in support of CBF and their Project Pink House, a unique respite center for breast cancer survivors that once constructed will serve as a one-of-a-kind, “one-stop shop,” for breast cancer survivors and will include: ·          Counseling Services – access to free counseling & social service professionals ·          Wellness Education – education and classes on self-esteem, self-image, & nutrition ·          Fitness Center - A spacious and well-stocked kitchen will provide the opportunity to hold classes on planning and preparing nutritional meals to encourage healthy eating habits. ·          Nutrition Center - A spacious and well-stocked kitchen will provide the opportunity to hold classes on planning and preparing nutritional meals to encourage healthy eating habits. ·          Boutique – retail store retail store will offer products specific to breast cancer patients, including prosthetic garments, wigs, cosmetics and skin care products, and “Pink Ribbon” items. ·          Library & Research Center - print and electronic resources will be available for researching diagnoses, treatment options, alternative medicine options, and more. ·          Arts & Crafts Center – A creative center for working on arts and crafts projects, creating keepsakes, gifts, and personal journals in a therapeutic setting. ·          Meditation Garden – A sanctuary setting where gardening and nature are in full bloom. Surrounded by the sounds of water, this area will also contain special places of honor dedicated to members.
